Fred Woods, professor of religion at Brigham Young University is set to publish a book based on his research into the 1912 flight of Mormons from their northern Mexican colonies.
The book, Finding Refuge in El Paso: The 1912 Mormon Exodus from Mexico will also come with a dvd of the documentary (of the same name) which Woods produced and which I happen to appear in.
Woods will be in New Mexico and El Paso to give a couple of lectures on the 1912 Exodus and sign copies of the book. Times are:
Friday, November 9, 2012 at 3:00pm at the New Mexico State University Bookstore (Barnes & Noble)
and
Saturday, Nov. 10, 2012 at 2:00pm at the El Paso Public Library (Main Branch)
Both presentations will be followed by book signings.
